most unique event!
All across the country and now
throughout the world, people just like you participate
in an amazing 24-hour event—Relay
For Life. It's a unique, challenging and rewarding
way to raise funds for and create awareness of the work
of the American Cancer Society.
The
Northern Cambria County Relay has a long tradition.
The event continues to grow and plans are underway to
make Relay 2008 even better. Set for Jun 14-15,
the Relay promises to be an unbelievable event as the
Coordinating Committee plans for more events,
entertainment, teams and fun.
Relay For
Life will begin Saturday, June 14 and continues for 24
hours. Teams set up temporary housing Tent City
and are encouraged to decorate their site highlighting
the event's theme. Team's members take
turns walking, jogging or running the track as their
teammates sleep, eat, and enjoy good fellowship and
scheduled entertainment, games and other activities.
The Northern Cambria Relay for Life is
an event worthy of your participation. You and
your teammates will spend time working together for a
common cause—the battle
against cancer. It's an event you will enjoy and
one in which you will be proud that you participated.
You can't afford not to participate in
this year's Relay! Teams have been
created by families, churches, school clubs and
organizations, businesses and community organizations.
