Local Jeweler First in
Region with Cultured Diamonds of Color
(Ebensburg, Pennsylvania)—Decker
Diamond Jewelers is the First in the Western
Pennsylvania region, and part of a premier group of
jewelers to offer Pintura Jewelry line featuring the
Gemesis Cultured Diamond®. Featured in
media including Discovery Channel, Good Morning America,
The Today Show, CNBC, CNN, Newsweek and The Washington
Post, Gemesis Cultured Diamonds offer consumers who
never thought possible, an affordable way to own
beautiful diamonds of color.
Similar to cultured
pearls, Gemesis Cultured Diamonds begin their growth
with a tiny diamond seed. Gemesis then recreates
the conditions that exist deep within the earth
emulating the natural diamond growth process. The
cultured diamond grows atom by atom on the seed (like a
flower). The same amount of time is needed to grow a
diamond as is needed in nature—approximately 4 days.
Carter Clarke, founder of Gemesis Cultured Diamonds
states, "If an orchid is grown in a hot steamy jungle in
Central America, or if it is grown in a hot house in
California, it is still an orchid, it is still very
beautiful, women will love to have it and they don't
really care where it came from."
Gemesis Cultured
Diamonds match all the physical, optical and chemical
properties of naturally occurring diamonds, and are
available in virtually all shapes. Colors
currently available include vivid yellow and orange;
pink and blue are scheduled to be available in 2008.
Each Gemesis Cultured Diamond has a laser inscription
and gem laboratory grading certificate.
"Decker Diamond Jewelers
has an outstanding reputation for exceptional jewelry,
quality and service," said Daniel Decker, owner of
Decker Diamond Jewelers. "Consumers enjoy cultured
diamonds because they are diamonds of extraordinary
beauty." Cultured diamonds of color make a strong
fashion statement for today's fashion forward consumer,
and are great for engagement and bridal jewelry as well.
Although more rare than natural diamonds of color,
Gemesis Cultured Diamonds are 75% less than comparable
mined diamonds, representing rare value.
"Gemesis is proud to add
Decker Diamond Jewelers to our retail family," said
Ronnie Vanderlinden and Val Fawley of Pintura Jewelry.
"We seek premier local jewelers to represent our
diamonds and introduce them to consumers who are seeking
world class diamonds."
